Parali Vaijnath Temple
Parli is a renowned town in the Beed District of Maharashtra. The “Parli Vaijnath Temple” which is also popularly known as the Parli Vaidyanath Temple ; belongs to the 12 Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. This is the 5th Jyotirlinga in the state. It is 3000 years old one. It is Hemadpanthi Mandir.The temple is very big and usually its not as crowded as we think it should be. The darshan can be completed within 10 minutes and you can also spend sometime inside the temple. Devotees are allowed to touch the Shivlinga while taking photos inside the temple is prohibited.
Temple is built out of one stone on a small hill. It is 80 ft. from groundlevel. The main door of the temple is brass plated , surrounded by 4 strong walls. There are wide staircase to enter. The Mahadwar (Main Gate)has one small Gawaksha (Window) for darshan. In 1706, biggest devotee of Shiva, Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar renovated this temple. As far as the design is concerned there is a huge Chandelier in the centre above Nandi & Jharoka windows in four directions for natural light & air to pass, Paint is also used to highlight the carvings on walls & pillars. Garbh-Gruh is kept sacred though people can still touch the Shivlinga & offer water-milk-flowers-bailpatra. The main mukut is daily put after the pooja is done.
Daily Mandir open at 5.30 am. till 9.30 pm. KakadAarati is performed at 4 .00 am. and evening aarati is performed at 7.00 pm. performing Abhisheka, gents are not allowed to wear clothes above the waist. Women can wear Sarees and Punjabi dress also. People believe that since Lord Vishnu hid both Amrit and Dhanavantari in the Linga, anyone who touches the Linga can receive the power of Amrit. Parli is also a meeting place of HariHara, i.e.Hari (Vishnu) and Hara (Shiva).
You can also stay in a hotel in Parali & take an auto to reach the temple. Parali city is dirty, but there are a few restaurants which are kept clean. Parali also has a railway station and is easily connected with all the major cities in India.

From Latur , Parali Vaijanath distance is 70 km. From Mumbai distance is 546 km. require 11 hrs to reach via Samruddhi Mahamarg.
