Pawas
Pawas Devasthan is a serene and peaceful location which is a relaxing place for the devotees. It became popular due to swami Swarupanand; original name is Shri. Ramchandra Godbole. Also known as Swami Swaroopanand Devasthan. It is well maintained place. The temple has a very calm atmosphere & it daily conducts morning pujas. Simply by sitting there one can feel the peacefulness around. There is samadhi mandir, where devotees can also meditate, Genesh murti carved on the tree. Swami Swarupanand’s home, Anant Niwas is also neatly maintained. Swami born on 15 Dec.1903 and took samadhi on 15 Aug. 1974. Swami delivered guru mantra to his followers as “Ram Krushna Hari”.
Daily at Aarati timing here is 10.00 am., 12.00 pm. and 7.30 pm. After afternoon and evening aarati time everyone can get Khichadi as Prasad freely.
You can also purchase mangoes and other Konkan delicacies outside the temple which are a delight! In fact it is said that some people come here specially to meditate and enjoy. Located at Ganeshgule district in Maharashtra, though relatively less popular than other temples but its definitely worth a visit for its serene environment and peaceful ambience.
How to reach here:
From Ratnagiri bus stand to Pawas distance is 17 km. , require one hr. to reach by road. People from other cities have to reach Ratnagiri first. There are daily buses from Pawas to Mumbai, Pune, Ratnagiri.
