Matheran

This is definitely the place which has still maintained its old world charm. The silent & quaint hill station has till date managed to retain its charm and beauty. Matheran is a hill station and a municipal council in the Raigad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a hill station in Karjat Tehsil and is also the smallest hill station in India. Though, it has dangerous roads but its equally fun driving and reaching at the top which has some great resorts to stay and private properties. Matheran also boasts of 1800 unadulterated views of beautiful mountain & forest landscapes once you reach the top either on a pony or with your foot. In fact, such is the charm of Matheran it was also suggested to be one of the UNESCO world heritage sites.
