Toranmal

It’s a hill station in the municipal council of the Nandurbar district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. One can reach through Shahada. It is a hill station located in the Satpura Range.
Tornamal is another hidden gem of Maharashtra which is by far the most beautiful hill stations. Though not highly popular as lonavala or mahabaleshwar, this place is equally stunning with a great atmosphere and environment. Surely a good place for a weekend getaway with your family & friends!

Toranmal hill station is located in the Satpura hills. It is of 41 square kilometers approx. It shares boundaries with Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. But it lies under the district of Nandurbar in Maharashtra. It is a tribal area. Toranmal name came from Torana Devi, the Goddess of fertility. ToranaDevi temple is at top of the Satpura hills at Toranmal Wildlife Sanctuary.

Toranmal is unexplored hill station that is beautifully surrounded by hills of the Satpura range. It is believed that Toranmal was formed by the cutting of a stream from north to south. Toranmal hill station,is full of green natural scenery, mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and numerous earth-massed pylons. Temperature of Nandurbar Dist. is generally high but the Toranmal is regarded as the second coolest station. 

Things to do–  Lotus Lake, Sita Khai, Torna Devi Temple, Yashavant Lake, Khadki Point, Aawashabari Point.

How to reach Toranmal :

• If anyone wants to go by airway the nearer is Aurangabad Airport. And from Aurangabad to Toranmal we can travel by state transport bus or private car.

• The nearer railway station is Nandurbar which which is 84 KM and Dondaicha station is of 75km from Toranmal hill station. From Mumbai via Dhule to Toranmal distance is 90km and from Chalisgaon distance is 145km.These are better options. Prerana Express, Malda Town – Surat Weekly Express, and Chennai Jodhpur Express are the name of trains which halt at Nundurbar station.

• From Shahada of Nandurbar Dist. Toranmal by road way distance is 50 km. From Nashik it is 295 km. and from Surat of Gujrath distance is 258 km. If we want to go by car or bus; there State transport buses are available from Dhule, Nandurbar and Shahada. Also we can use car.
