Bhandardara

Bhandardara consists of rugged terrains and you need to be a really good driver who enjoys driving to visit this place. It’s a heaven for off-roaders who have SUV’s as driving becomes adventurous and sheer fun. The hill station is located in the banks of River Pravara. As far as the legend goes, it is said that the deep meditation done by Sage Agastya pleased the gods so much that the gods granted a stream of water in Bhadardara which is now popularly called as Pravara. It is well connected through roads from Mumbai and Pune as well as other cities while Igatpuri is the nearest railway station (35kms away) from Bhandardara.
