Narsoba Wadi kolhapur
Situated in Nrusinhawadi Village at Kolhapur in Maharashtra, the village is spread across a landscape of natural and untouched beauty due to the merger of Krishna & Panchganga river along with a beautiful coverage of Audember trees. Because of Datta Avatari Narasinha Saraswati Swami , this place is known as Nrusinhawadi or Narsobachi Wadi. Just nearby to the temple is “Sangam” where you can see the meeting of River Krishna & Panchganga. This is one of the famous Shri Datta Piths situated close to Kolhapur. In this temple there is no idol like any other temples but there are Paduka of Lord Dattatray. Temples daily rituals starts from 5.00 am with Kakadarati ,Paduka Pujan, 8.00 am. Rudrabhishek, 12.30 pm. Puja-Aarati, Naivedya, 3.00 pm. Pavaman, 7..30 pm. Dhooparati, Palakhi and at 10.00 pm. end with Shejarati. Shri. Vasudevanand Saraswati Maharaj stayed here for 12 years. He was incarnation of Lord Dattatray in human form in Kaliyug. The room where Vasudevanand Saraswati stayed, today there are Paduka. Devotees get various good experiance at this holy place only by attending Aarati and Namasmaran with Aart Bhav. Lord Dattatray is combination of lord Vishnu and Shiva, so Shaiva and Vaishnav both devotees came here. Here celebrates Datta Jayanti , Narasinh Jayanti, Gopal Kala, Shripad ShriVallabh Jayanti (Ganesh Chaturthi) in Bhadrapad Mass, Dakshin Dwar Sohala mean the day from which River Krishnamai flows from North to South gate through temple.
There are also boat rides on this holy river which hardly costs 20 to 30rs while it gives you a stunning view of the Narsobawadi temple from the river. You can reach from Kolhapur in 1 – 2 hrs by road. Once you reach this small & beautiful village you will experience peace and natural flow of air. At Lunch time you get Special Prasad lunch in this temple which is nothing but supremely tasty. It is also famous for the Kolhapurs Kandi pedhas while there are lots of shops which sell them too. There is a home food eatery very close by to the temple where you can have authentic Maharsashtrian Thali food also!. The highlight is their Basundi and the ussal which are delicious! All in all it’s a great temple to visit atleast once!

By railway people in Maharashtra prefer Sangali Railway station, Karnataki people prefer Miraj Railway station are closer railway stations. Narasinhawadi is well connected by road with Kolhapur, Pune, Mumbai by St buses. Having hired / own car is good. There is big parking place. Mumbai to Narasinhawadi approximately 404 km. required 8-9 hrs. to reach.
