Shirdi Saibaba
Shirdi Sai Baba temple is located at Shirdi in Pune, Maharashtra and if often called as the mecca of Marathi people or sai baba worshippers. Such is the following and prominence of this temple that everyday people come here in thousands. Many group of people mostly maharashtrian also come barefoot walking from Mumbai to Nashik just to take the blessings of Sai Baba. Saibaba are popular in both Hindu and Muslim people. Hindus says him Sant and Muslim Fakir. For devotee Saibaba is incarnation of God.
The long queue here takes hours where people happily wait to take a glimpse of their divine saint and seek blessings. It is said that Shirdi Sai Baba fulfills the wishes of all and thousands of people believe it too who donate large amount of gold and money towards the temple. The crown of Sai baba is worth crores and so are the numerous donations by the worshippers. This is the original temple where Sai Baba used to sit and preach. This is the temple where Samadhi of Sai Baba & his original footsteps are preserved.
Today Saibaba Sansthan is much big and developed. It is spread over 200 sq.mtrs. It provides various facilities to devotees free Bhojanalay (Prasad), Railway reservation counter, Book stall where we get books regarding Saibaba and other also. There also accommodation as per money requirements (Ordinary to Lavish)
Daily function of Temple starts from Bhupali, Kakad Aarati, Mangal Snan, Aarati and Darshan in Samadhi Mandir. Then Dhooni puja in Dwarakamai. Then Mid day aarati, Pothi vachan, dhooparati , devotional songs and end with shejarati.
How to go here:
Daily luxury or ordinary buses are available for Shirdi. From Dadar every hr. bus is available. Having own or hired car is best option.
By railway if any one wants to travel then today Sainagar Shirdi railway station is there. Various train have stop over here. Some of them are Shirdi Exp., Garibrath, Shirdi Spacil etc.
