Ellora Caves

Another popular tourist spot once again situated in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, Ellora caves is a monument in itself which consists of 12 beautiful Buddhist temples, 17 having hindu temples while 5 of Jain. It’s a hindu worship temple which has been excavated from the land. As popular as Ajanta and popularly termed together Ajanta-Ellora caves, this place is foreigners delight and highly visited throughout the years by foreigners.
Ellora caves also fall under the UNESCO world heritage sites and it has been properly commercialized along with bus services to the caves. Ellora caves are open to visit throughout the week except Tuesdays and is currently under the proper care of Archaelogical Survey of India who are doing a fantastic job. With nominal fees to enter the caves, it’s worth a visit to this magnificent place.
