Dudhsagar Waterfalls

By far the most popular waterfall in the entire Maharashtra, Dudhsagar which literally means ‘a sea of milk or flow of milk’ is amongst the most visited waterfalls of Maharashtra. It is on Mandavi river in Goa. The water in literal sense is pure white and clear which gives you a pleasurable experience.
Strategically located on the eastern border of Maharashtra almost touching Goa & Karnataka, the height of this majestic waterfall is around 1020ft. These waterfalls are considered to be in the state of Goa according to the geographical reasons. Amidst the dense forests, the path which leads to the top of the fall is quite dangerous and it is advised to be thoroughly under professional guidance.

Dudhsagar fall stands around 60km away from Margoa while 10km from Kulem Railway station. The fall is located in Bhagawan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among Western Ghat.    Best time to visit here is Oct. to May. The fall is  open for Jeep, one can get hired Jeep from kulem or Collem in Goa at Rs. 500/- per head. Jeep safari is extremely full of fun and adventurous.

There are private companies which take responsibility of one person for one day in Rs. 1600 each to go Doodhsagar Falls also provide lunch and dinner.
