Thoseghar Dhabdhaba
Thosegar falls is located in the Satara district and is 294kms away from Mumbai while 141kms from Pune. The best part about these waterfalls is they are located amidst a lush spread of greenery making it very beautiful and photogenic. The natural scenery which this place gives makes it all the more worth to visit atleast once.
Though it is quite thrilling and adventurous but at a staggering 1159 feet above the sea level, these waterfalls are also one of the most dangerous waterfalls in Maharashtra. The winter and the monsoon season is the best time to visit this place with your friends!
How to reach :
Best and only way is road way either by own or hired car from Mumbai -Pune – Satara – Thoseghar. Distance from Mumbai to here is 280 km, From Pune 137 km and From Satara 27 km. There are ST Buses from Swargate (Pune) to Satara and from Satara by auto we can reach Thoseghar also.
Best period to visit Thoseghar Dhabadhaba is July to November. We can see various birds also here.Timing is 9 am. to 6 pm. There is entry fee. There are some local food stalls. Washrooms and parking facility is available.
