Lingamala Waterfalls
Lingmala falls is amongst the most major waterfalls in the scenic hill station of Mahabaleshwar. It is located at top of the Venna Valley in Satara, it fall from a height of approximately 600 ft. giving some stunning views. Also for a fact, Lingmala falls is amongst the most visited and popular waterfalls of Maharashtra. It’s a must visit if you are in Mahabaleshwar as it is just 6kms away from the main hill station and you can trust us for a fact that it’s worth visiting
The best period to visit Lingmala waterfall is certainly between July to December where you can witness the pristine waters of the Lingmala cascading into the venna lake during the rainy season.
There is one small and one big Lingmala Waterfall. From the main entrance you have to walk less than half km through the park to reach the smaller fall, and maybe about a km to reach the bigger one. If you go during the late winter or summer you won’t find water flowing through the bigger fall and hardly any water flowing thro’ the smaller one. Even then it is worth it to go to this place, since the walk through the park itself is absolutely wonderful. Also when you reach the bigger falls site, you will see a gorgeous view of one of the many Mahabaleshwar valleys.
Lingmala certainly should be on your ‘must see’ lists as it’s a heaven for nirvana seekers, nature lovers and photographers.
