Ramteck Mandir
Ramtek Mandir is situated in the Ramtek district at Nagpur , is 400 years old one. Ramtek is a historically and culturally significant place located in the state of Maharashtra. It is also popularly called as Ramtek Fort Temple as it is located atop a hill inside a fort which makes it an enriching experience. There is Ambala Talav, on the way to temple. There are 700 steps to reach the top. This mandir is considered to be a very rich source of Mythological history as lot of events have occurred here.
It is also believed that before Lord Rama left for Lanka to fight against the mighty ravana, it was at this temple too where he took some rest. Ramtek has connection with great Sanskrit poet Kalidas also. He composed famous “Meghdut” at Hill of Ramteck. One of the Indian sage, Agastimuni has his ashram here. Agastimuni is famous for knowledge and wisdom.
The present-day Ramtek Temple was built in the 18th century by Raghuji Bhonsale, the Maratha ruler of Nagpur. This temple holds historical and religious significance, and it is dedicated to Lord Rama. It stands as a testimony to the rich cultural heritage of the region. Ramtek is also famous in Jain community , as there is Jain temples having statue of 16th Jain Tirthankar, Shantinath. Visitors come to explore the Ramtek temple, the natural beauty of the surrounding hills, and the stories that have been woven into the fabric of the town’s identity.

It is 50 km. from NorthEast side of Nagpur. Nagpur to Ramtek taxi service is available.
From Mumbai by airway or railway , one can reach Nagpur.
