Saptashrungi

Also popularly known as ‘three & a half shakti peeths of Maharashtra” Saptashrungi temple is located around 60kms from Nashik on Saptashrungi Garh Road(Saptashrungi village in the Nanduri, Kalwan taluka) and sits atop a hill surrounded by trees and mountains. This temple is highly revered and is amongst the 51 shakti peeths of Maharashtra. As far as mythology or hindu traditions are to be believed, it is said that goddess Saptashrungi Nivasini resides within the seven mountain peaks and one of them being this temple.

The devi idol is huge and shows the goddess with 17 arms. You should simply spend some time contemplating the goddess and bowing to the power of “Shakti” to seek her divine blessings. The temple is located at around 4500ft above the sea level and is a must visit not only to seek the blessings but also to enjoy the clean and peaceful atmosphere amidst the natural greenery atop the hill.
